Fred H. Tingey Administration Building

Fred H. Tingey, director of the UI's Idaho Falls Center from 1979 to 1995, was recognized for his contributions to higher education in eastern Idaho. The State Board of Education, UI and the UI Foundation honored Tingey by naming the office building at University Place the Fred H. Tingey Administration Building. Under his leadership, the center grew from providing technical education to INEEL employees to delivering undergraduate and graduate degree programs to all the residents of eastern Idaho.
